With a rich history dating back to 1865, Zenith have created many timepieces that have become iconic in Swiss watchmaking. One of the outstanding achievements was the invention of the first integrated automatic chronograph movement; the Zenith Chronomaster, still the most precise series-made calibre to this day.
The Zenith Chronomaster Heritage 146 has the original 1969, 38mm polished stainless-steel case. Present on the blue sunray-patterned dial are two intergrated chronograph sub dials, the Small seconds are positioned at 9 o’clock and a 30 -minute counter at 3 o’clock. A single chronograph hand is positioned centrally. The hour and minute hands are Rhodium-plated and faceted, as are the index hour markers creating an elegant, clean finish.
A fixed Tachymetric scale surrounds the rim of the dial, this enables the measurement of speed. The genius Tachymetric scale converts the time and distance travelled into an average speed, vital for track timings on racecourses. Finally, the Zenith Chronomaster Heriatge 146 is adorned by a blue, rubber lined, perforated leather strap, for a unique textured finish.
A transparent sapphire crystal case back, reveals the El Primero 4069 Automatic movement, with an impressive 50-hour power reserve.
