Blancpain's native village of Villeret lends its name to the most classic collection from the manufacturer. Firmly anchored in tradition, these models personify our roots and embody our prime aesthetic choices. The purity of their lines, the clarity of their dials and the slenderness of their double stepped cases express essentials with timeless elegance.
A combination of technical refinement and aesthetic beauty, this Blancpain Villeret Chronographe Monopoussoir watch is incredibly elegant and sets itself apart from the rest by the technical accomplishments needed to create it.
This watch features a 40mm wide steel case, housing a Blancpain calibre 66CM8 self-winding automatic movement with water resistance of 30m and power reserve of 40 hours. Under the scratch resistant sapphire crystal lies the white dial with separate day and month windows at 12 o’clock, a moon phase window at 6 o’clock and two sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock. Silver Roman numerals mark hours, indicated to by silver dauphine hands with an open aperture in their centre while the minutes are quietly marked outside the numerals.
The conventional date window has been replaced by a date dial that sits just inside the Roman numerals and is pointed to by a wonderfully curved abstract blue hand that hovers just above each date index. This piece is fastened with a black alligator leather strap with a folding clasp.
